Associate Dentist

Modern practice in Newburgh, NY is seeking a motivated dentist for a part-time position which may lead to permanent full-time. Must have experience in all aspects of dentistry and must contribute to the professional, relaxed and friendly atmosphere we have created. In this position, you will be responsible for the oral health of your patients including but not limited to:

• Examines patients and diagnoses dental conditions.
• Advises patients on treatment plans and oral hygiene.
• Knows how to use and maintain common dental tools.
• Accurately interprets x-rays and other diagnostic tests.
• Refers patients to specialists if necessary and analyzes medical records and reports.
• Performs dental procedures, including basic cleanings, fillings and repairs, root canals, crown and bridge preps, extractions, and surgeries.
• Updates patient records and maintains confidentiality.
• Uses popular software, including medical database, research, diagnosis, e-prescribing, and scheduling.
• Follows all guidelines, regulations, and standards.
• Collaborates with dentists, dental hygienists, and specialists.
• Communicates effectively.
• Works well under pressure.
• Develops strong relationships with patients and their families and has excellent chairside manner.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• A Doctor of Dental Medicine or Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from an accredited university is required.
• An active dental license in the state is mandatory.
• At least 1-2 years of experience is strongly preferred.

Competitive compensation; guaranteed rate or percentage. No evenings or weekends. Looking for two to three days per week with the strong potential to move to full-time.
