Assistant Project Manager (APM) needed to support Construction Manager’s Project Manager on a $45M new design/build higher education project. The ideal candidate will ensure project plans, specifications, and procedures are followed in the field regarding quality and overall client satisfaction. They will be responsible for managing project construction activities to meet specifications within a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) by the scheduled completion date. 


Overall responsibilities:
• Coordinate and manage general conditions of work and project logistics.
• Collaborate with public utility suppliers to obtain final service connections in compliance with determined project schedule delivery date and system startups.
• Conduct technical review and approval of submittals.
• Support project closeout and ensure all project requirements are met.
• Provide support as needed to achieve all required jurisdictional inspections.
• Inspect the quality of work for compliance with design standards and ensure corrective action occurs if/when necessary.
• Coordinate field conditions with Owner, Architect, Engineers, CM Project Manager, and General Contractor’s Superintendent.
• Collect monthly requisitions, review, and submit for final approval
• Manage logistics and phasing plans with General Superintendent
• Oversee all required levels of commissioning.
• Enforce safety requirements and protocols.
• Ability to take direction and execute without a high degree of oversight.

Education and Experience:
• BS/BT degree in Engineering, Technology, Construction Management, or related.
• Five (5) years’ experience in construction experience or a combination of education and experience.
• Proficient with reading, understanding, and interpreting plans, specifications, drawings, contracts.
• Knowledge and practice of construction scheduling.
• Knowledge of design-build process.
• Knowledge of codes, site work, MEP, including high and low-voltage systems.
