About Us: Saddlerock Wine & Beer Co. is seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Groundskeeper. As a vital member of our facilities management team, the Groundskeeper will play a key role in maintaining the appearance and functionality of our outdoor spaces. We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable individual who takes pride in creating a welcoming and well-maintained environment.

Job Overview: The Groundskeeper is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the outdoor areas of our facilities. This includes performing a variety of landscaping and grounds maintenance tasks to ensure a clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing environment for our employees, clients, and visitors.

Responsibilities:

  1. Landscaping:

    • Mow, edge, and maintain lawns using various landscaping equipment.
    • Plant, trim, and care for flowers, shrubs, and trees to enhance the overall appearance of the grounds.
    • Monitor and control weeds, pests, and diseases in outdoor spaces.

  2. Grounds Maintenance:

    • Sweep, clean, and maintain walkways, parking lots, and other outdoor areas.
    • Perform regular inspections of outdoor facilities to identify and address maintenance needs.
    • Empty trash receptacles and ensure proper disposal of waste.

  3. Irrigation and Watering:

    • Operate and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants and lawns.
    • Monitor water usage and report any issues with irrigation equipment.

  4. Equipment Maintenance:

    • Perform routine maintenance on landscaping equipment, such as lawnmowers and trimmers.
    • Report any equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs with the facilities management team.

  5. Seasonal Tasks:

    • Assist with snow removal and salting during winter months.
    • Participate in seasonal landscaping projects and initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in groundskeeping or landscaping preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic horticulture and landscaping practices.
  • Ability to operate and maintain landscaping equipment.
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform outdoor tasks in various weather conditions.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance.
