Job DescriptionJob Description

We are a fast-growing manufacturing company looking for someone to join our Procurement team. You will be responsible for purchasing the company's products and materials for manufacturing, recommending new processes/systems for improvement, implementing new ideas and strategies, and communicating with vendors and other team members to achieve goals, and more.

This is a full-time, onsite salaried position, and after 90 days, you will receive health benefits. Your competitive salary is based on your experience.

Responsibilities

Vendor Management:

· Identify and evaluate potential vendors.

· Negotiate contracts and terms of agreements to achieve the best value for the company.

· Maintain relationships with existing vendors and evaluate their performance regularly.

Procurement planning:

· Develop procurement strategies aligned with order requirements and budget constraints.

· Forecast material and equipment needed for upcoming orders.

· Coordinate with other departments to understand specific requirements and timelines.

Sourcing and purchasing:

· Source materials, equipment and services required for manufacturing.

· Place purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials to meet production schedules.

Cost management:

· Monitor and control procurement costs to ensure adherence to company budgets.

· Identify opportunities for cost savings through volume purchasing, delivery and market conditions.

Quality assurance:

· Ensure that materials and equipment procured meet quality standards and specifications.

· Conduct inspections and quality checks as necessary to verify compliance.

Risk management:

· Identify potential risks related to procurement activities and develop mitigation strategies.

· Monitor market trends and supply chain disruptions that may impact order delivery.

Documentation and reporting:

· Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including contracts, purchase orders, and vendor communications.

· Prepare regular reports on procurement status, budget variance, and vendor performance.

Qualifications:

You must have a background in procurement with at least 3 years of experience. You will need to possess strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills, as well as a high school diploma/GED, Microsoft Office and purchasing software proficiency, multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
