Title: Buyer

Location: Franklin Park IL

Shift: 8 am – 5 pm – Hybrid schedule after 6 months

Aegis Worldwide is seeking a Buyer to join a growing manufacturer in Franklin Park IL. This person will report directly to the Purchasing Manager and work with senior leadership teams.

Responsibilities:

• Research and purchase products and supplies for engineered-to-order products.
• Oversee and maintain inventory, researching, analyzing, and forecasting current and future buying trends, markets, styles, and products with attention to specific business needs to help increase performance.
• Develop and maintain relationships with wholesalers and suppliers, assess financial risks of purchases, and attend trade shows, product exhibitions, and conferences to maintain an understanding of new products and trends.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain, or a related field
• 2+ years of purchasing experience in manufacturing
• Experience working for a custom made-to-order manufacturer is ideal
• Experience negotiating with suppliers
• Experience overseeing and maintaining inventory
• Experience researching, analyzing, and forecasting current and future buying trends, markets, styles, and products with attention to specific business needs to help increase performance
• Ability to develop and maintain relationships with wholesalers and suppliers
• Ability to assess financial risks of purchases
