Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated PLC and SCADA Controls Engineer to join our team. The PLC and SCADA Controls Engineer will be responsible for designing, programming, testing, and maintaining industrial control systems, including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs), and related equipment. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our team of engineers and technicians to deliver high-quality control solutions for our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC-based control systems for various industrial applications.
  • Develop software programs for HMIs to allow operators to control and monitor industrial processes.
  • Integrate PLCs with other control systems, such as SCADA, DCS, and MES.
  • Perform commissioning and startup activities for new systems.
  • Conduct testing and debugging of software programs.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, user manuals, and test procedures.
  • Provide technical support to clients during system installation, startup, and operation.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technological developments in the field of industrial control systems.
  • Collaborate with project managers, sales team, and other engineers to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of the client.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Control Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in designing and programming industrial control systems, including PLCs and HMIs.
  • Experience with PLC programming languages, such as ladder logic, function block, and structured text.
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols, such as Ethernet/IP, Modbus, and Profibus.
  • Ability to develop, read, and interpret electrical schematics and control drawings.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
