12-hour shifts 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM EOW schedule
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced RN Supervisor to join our client's team, a leading long-term care facility in Piscataway, New Jersey. As an RN Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the nursing staff and ensuring the highest level of care for our residents. This is a pivotal role that combines clinical expertise with leadership skills to promote a supportive and nurturing environment for both residents and staff.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing personnel on assigned shift to ensure resident care needs are met effectively and efficiently.
- Conduct regular rounds to assess resident care and staff performance, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for residents.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures.
- Serve as a resource and mentor to nursing staff, promoting professional growth and development.
- Respond to emergencies and critical situations, making timely and informed decisions to ensure resident safety and well-being.
Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Jersey.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in long-term care or a related healthcare setting, with previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations pertaining to long-term care facilities.
