Duties and Responsibilities:
- Give and receive orders and instructions to production line workers.
- Maximize quality and productivity by understanding and managing responsibilities.
- Complete paperwork and administrative tasks related to the production line, including updating records and noting any issues.
- Assign tasks based on incoming orders and team availability.
- Set up production lines to complete orders efficiently.
- Motivate, support, and guide the team as necessary.
- Relay clear instructions and procedures to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.
- Ensure all production machinery operates smoothly.
- Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving them.
- Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications.
- Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices and safety regulations.
- Follow all safety guidelines and report any work-related injuries to HR within 24 hours.
- Monitor production floor for safety hazards and report issues to the Production Supervisor and/or HR.
- Respond to radio requests and solve production-related problems.
- Inform the Production Supervisor of whereabouts, attendance, and activities; proactively identify problems and offer solutions.
- Perform various roles on the production floor as required, including Operator, Wrangler, Stager, Packager, or other line jobs.
- Show respect and sensitivity toward cultural differences; promote a harassment and discrimination-free environment.
- Adhere to Company Policies and Procedures; uphold and support organizational goals and values.

- USDA Trained.
- Advanced knowledge of GMP’s; HACCP Certified.
- Bilingual in Spanish/English.
Physical Demands:
- Spend 100% of time on the floor at assigned line(s).
- Stand, move from one station to another, operate a pallet jack.
- Regularly talk and hear; use repetitive motion and reach overhead.
- Use hands and fingers to handle and feel.
- Walk on wet, even, and uneven surfaces; lift and relocate up to 25 lbs.

Seeking a dedicated and experienced Bottling Line Supervisor to join the #1 custom sparkling wine producer in the United States.
Summary
The Bottling Line Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating winery bottling operations. This role includes on-going assessment of quality control and operational procedures, developing line operation procedures, ensuring adherence to the bottling schedule, and maintaining packaging standards. The supervisor also oversees equipment and line sanitation requirements and ensures the proper operation and care of equipment. Additionally, the role involves training, development, counseling, safety, and discipline of assigned staff.
Reports to: Director of Operations
Essential Job Duties
- Participate in the setup and cleanup of the bottling lines.
- Adhere to all safety practices and company policies.
- Ensure all packaging supplies match work orders.
- Complete work orders, bottling packets, and other paperwork as needed.
- Perform all levels of bottling line and equipment operations, responding to and troubleshooting error codes.
- Assist with all facility cleanup activities and support team members during downtime.
- Coordinate with Cellar, Lab, and Warehouse staff to ensure wine and bottling supplies are available and meet client specifications.
- Work with the Maintenance team for daily post-op maintenance or changeover tasks on bottling equipment.
- Document equipment malfunctions and involve the Maintenance team as needed.
- Identify, communicate, and assist with implementing process improvement opportunities for operational efficiencies and wine quality.
- Maintain knowledge of hazardous material and safety procedures, ensuring adherence by staff.
- Assist Maintenance and QC with line setup and troubleshooting.
- Diligently adhere to all safety practices, SOPs, and company policies.
- Support other departments (Cellar, Warehouse, etc.) as needed and assigned by Management.
- Perform other tasks on any production line as assigned by Management.
Supervisory Job Duties
- Assist in the management of production and production goals.
- Review progress, monitor results, and provide instructions.
- Provide leadership and training to less skilled employees.
- Create an environment of teamwork.
- Investigate all incidents of personal injury, property, and equipment damage, preparing and submitting required reports.
Requirements
- Previous experience on a bottling line, with 5+ years' experience.
- Forklift experience preferred.
- Punctuality and good attendance.
- Ability to learn and adapt to changing conditions.
- Ability to work safely and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. and work at catwalk heights of 25 feet.
- Willingness to work nights, overtime, and weekends if required.
- Ability to schedule and capacity plan daily line production.
- Experience with changeovers and production line setup.
- Self-motivated with problem-solving skills and support for process improvement.
- Mechanical background and ability is an advantage.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Lift up to 50 pounds and carry up to 50 pounds over short distances.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, stretch, reach, grasp, crouch, turn, and kneel.
- Ability to see and read documents, labels, samples, etc., and recognize anomalies in analytical data.
- Well-developed sense of smell and taste.
- Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record.
Work Hours
- Full-Time + Overtime as needed.
- Shift Information: Monday to Friday, with flexibility for Saturday work.
- Start Time: 5 am (subject to change, must be flexible), possibly 8 am.
- OT mandatory.
