Civil / Pipeline Engineering Technician (Drafter)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
1. Prepares Civil/Pipeline engineering drawings and other graphical outputs using
AutoCAD Civil 3D 2022 (or latest version) in compliance with appropriate
standards, policies, and procedures.
2. Conducts engineering site investigations as needed with engineer, collects and
calculates field/departmental data the preparation of designs and drawings.
3. Interpret survey data and notes and convert to AutoCAD drawings.
4. Makes preliminary checks and reviews engineering documents, and drawings for
accuracy, engineering sufficiency, and conformance to specifications and
standards.
5. Responds orally and in written form to inquiries and requests from other EMB
personnel.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of: latest design systems, technology and processes for technical drafting
and design including techniques, standards, nomenclature, and symbols relevant to
Civil engineering areas used in the preparation of engineering drawings.
Ability to: Intermediate to advanced knowledge of CAD design application such as,
AutoCAD Civil 3D; transcribe/interpret basic survey/field data and notes; communicate
orally with other EMB personnel in a clear and understandable manner.
