Boiler Burner Field Service Technician

Fort Wayne, Indiana

Locally owned and operated boiler service/repair company is seeking a motivated, respectful, and reliable individual to fill immediate opening for a boiler and burner Service Technician.

Ideal candidate will have 3-5 years experience in boiler field service and maintenance but willing to train the right candidate who has 3-5 years of HVAC and electrical experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Maintenance and repair of equipment
  • Troubleshooting and repair of boiler control systems
  • Provide assistance and final inspection of work on boiler systems
  • Perform startup services on boilers and burners
  • Electrical wiring and troubleshooting
  • Tuning and combustion analysis
  • Boiler and water heater installation

Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED
  • 3-5 years of commercial/industrial boiler/burner experience
  • Ability to pass drug screen and background check
  • Valid drivers license
  • Clean driving record
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Self-starter attitude with ability to work with little supervision
  • Ability to read blueprints and wiring schematics
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Physically able to perform job duties
  • Willingness to learn

Work Schedule

full-time (40 hours, 5 days/week): Monday-Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; but candidate must be willing to work flexible hours when needed.

Salary: $25.00 - $38.00 per hour

Preferred Experience:

  • Programmable logic controllers: 2 years (Preferred)
