  • Contract position for 6 months to 1 year

Seeking a Maintenance Supervisor undertakes advanced technical tasks involving installing, operating, maintaining, modifying, servicing, and repairing electrical systems, equipment, fixtures, and related electro-mechanical systems, adhering to relevant Electrical Industry Codes. This professional inspects, leads and troubleshoots electrical systems, identifying and diagnosing faults and malfunctions. Repairs are executed by replacing malfunctioning parts or rewiring circuits, and the Electrician provides cost estimates for repairs or replacements beyond their capacity. Additionally, the Electrician assesses branch circuit loads, interprets electrical wiring diagrams and schematics, and establishes methods and requirements for wiring circuits. The role also encompasses redlining and maintaining accurate electrical distribution drawings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  • Manage the maintenance budget, including tracking expenses, forecasting costs, and optimizing spending.
  • Use electrical aptitude to repair a variety of hydraulic metal stamping presses.
  • Ability to use electrical test equipment and small hand power tools, multimeters, amp meters, circuit testers and vacuum/ pressure gauges as required to troubleshoot system failures.
  • Address underlying root cause of equipment defects to restore equipment functionality.
  • Document and track all work, labor, and parts usage through CMMS system.
  • Connect and access PLC program software and effectively troubleshoot various issues.
  • Adhere to and assist Operators, Technicians, Management and Engineering in following PM schedules.
  • Read, interpret, and follow basic, intermediate, and complex blueprints and schematics.
  • Install new machinery or move reallocated machines to new production lines by disassembly and rebuild specifically related to electrical components.
  • Responsible for ensuring that electrical distribution system and under is properly maintained in accordance with applicable codes.
  • Utilize appropriate PPE when applicable.
  • Follow Lock Out Tag Out procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ Years of Working Knowledge with electrical systems or components in a manufacturing environment.
  • 5+ Years of experience in electrical or instrumentation/controls trade in a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Demonstrated proficiency in troubleshooting various Mechanical, Electrical and Hydraulic systems.
  • Previous experience utilizing CMMS system to track maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to work as an individual contributor and within a team.
  • Currently enrolled in an Industrial Electrical Maintenance or a related field
  • Working knowledge of NFPA 70 E latest revision
  • Working knowledge of NFPA 70 B

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2 years vocational or trade school certificate in Electrical program
  • OSHA 10-hour certification
  • Arc Flash Training
