The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing, with the skills necessary to improve our current billing procedures and reduce A/R days. The primary responsibility in this role is to provide insurance payer follow-up and ensure that claims are paid according to contracts.  

Daily Responsibilities 

• Follow up on denied, underpaid, and overpaid mental health claims 
• Write appeals using established company guidelines to resolve claim denials. 
• Identify trends causing slow payments. 
• Meet quality and production standards set by Serenity. 
• Maintain good working relationship with the billing team  
• Additional duties as assigned. 

Qualifications  

• Strong people skills 
• Comfortable being on the phone for extended periods of time. 
• Experience with Microsoft Suite of office products 
• Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently. 
• Excellent oral and written communication 
• Desire to learn and understand new concepts.
