SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Director of Maintenance plays a key role in supporting and improving equipment and processes for plant operations including safety, quality, profitability, capability and capacity. This position is responsible for developing, designing and implementing mechanical and electrical equipment solutions to support the plant while performing other duties as required to promote overall plant effectiveness. Directs maintenance operations by identifying requirements, forecasting resources, providing oversight for minor construction projects, capital improvement projects, and daily repair tasks. Assure timely completion of all tasks by providing direction to supervisors, technicians, engineers, and vendors.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION:

  • Complies with all safety policies. Promotes plant housekeeping.
  • Contributes technical support, ideas, and implements solutions that will eliminate operational constraints. Technical support includes specific equipment issues as well as general process and maintenance trades knowledge.
  • Responds to equipment breakdowns as required by troubleshooting and repairing or directing repairs.
  • Supports eMaint operating system
  • Supports cost-reduction initiatives with new ideas, creative solutions, and implementations.
  • Prepares reports, memos, letters, and other documents, using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software.
  • Contributes to other plant and divisional activities as directed.

  • Utilizes AutoCAD or equivalent software for electrical and mechanical drawing

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Minimum of 5 years experience
