This company operates as a master distributor, supplier and wholesaler of carbon steel, weld fittings, flanges, forged steel fittings and valves.

This position is responsible for operating a forklift, as well as picking, packing, sorting, shipping and receiving orders to meet the facility's productivity and quality goals.

****NEED 5 YEARS OF VALVE EXPERIENCE****

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 2+ years' experience in shipping and receiving

 Excellent organizational and time management skills

 Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing dynamics

 Capable of working a consistent schedule starting at 6AM

 Reliable transportation

 Committed to working safely and following policies and procedures of the operation

 Positive attitude; good team player

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Receives and unloads freight both manually or with equipment such as forklifts and order picker and reach truck.

 Checks for damaged goods.

 Verify quantity and quality of order with purchase order.

 Delivers and retrieves product from storage areas.

 Tags and issues product.

 Stocks, shelves and rotates inventory.

 Determines method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates.

 Assembles pallets or selects preassembled containers, inserts items into containers using spacers, fillers, and protective padding.

 May operate forklift, reach truck or stand up order picker to move, transport, or hoist material.

 Observe all safety precautions and wear appropriate PPE at all times.

 Cross-train on alternate assignments and perform duties in other work areas as needed.

 Maintain Housekeeping in assigned work area.

 Any other duties as requested by respective supervisor and/or manager.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

 Must be able to lift and stack objects.

 Work involves long periods of standing, walking, kneeling, and reaching;

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
