Job Summary: The General Manager (GM) is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our doughnut shop, ensuring the highest level of customer service, quality, and profitability. The GM will lead a team of employees, manage financials, and maintain an inviting and clean environment for customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operational Management:

    • Oversee daily operations to ensure the shop runs smoothly and efficiently.
    • Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all aspects of the business.
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
    • Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and handle vendor relationships.

  2. Team Leadership:

    • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise staff members.
    • Schedule employees to ensure optimal staffing levels.
    • Foster a positive and motivating work environment.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback.

  3. Customer Service:

    • Ensure exceptional customer service is provided at all times.
    • Address customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
    • Develop strategies to improve customer satisfaction and retention.

  4. Financial Management:

    • Monitor and manage the shop’s financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

  5. Marketing and Community Engagement:

    • Develop and execute marketing plans to attract new customers and retain existing ones.

  6. Quality Control:

    • Ensure all products meet quality standards and consistency.
    • Implement quality control processes and conduct regular product inspections.

  7. Facility Management:

    • Ensure the shop is clean, well-maintained, and visually appealing.
    • Coordinate maintenance and repairs as necessary.
    • Ensure all equipment is in good working order.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a General Manager or similar leadership role, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
  • Strong understanding of business management, financial principles, and customer service practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and POS systems.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in business management or a related field is a plus.
  • Food safety certification (or willingness to obtain).

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
