Local Henderson, Nevada based law firm is looking for a full time attorney to split criminal and family law duties. Our firm is part of a three branded criminal defense firm, family law, and personal injury practice. Currently, we are looking for an attorney to handle primarily criminal law in the mornings, but who also has an interest in assisting in family practice in the afternoons. We currently have a staff of 15 at the firm and are looking to add a valued member of our team.

Bilingual and relevant experience is helpful but not necessary, as we are willing to train the right candidate. Good candidates must be willing to learn our methods and be adaptable to changing circumstances, which is a common occurrence in court.

We are looking for a talented, motivated, and independent attorney who is primarily interested in signing new customers, advising clients, and conducting criminal misdemeanor trials and preliminary hearings.

The attorney will also get some work in drafting legal pleadings, motions, writs, and appeals. Training can be provided in the other fields mentioned as well.

Starting salary will vary based on qualifications and experience with possible performance bonuses and employer provided health insurance.

Job Requirements

CANDIDATES MUST BE ABLE TO PERFORM OR WILLING TO LEARN THE FOLLOWING:

:: Be able to sell a client on the benefits of legal representation and the need to employ counsel.

:: Be a strong legal researcher and legal writer, and willing to write various evidentiary motions, writs, and appellate briefs.

:: Be willing to work as client demands need met

:: Be able to manage cases throughout the pretrial and trial litigation process.

:: Be professional and present as such in various court settings.

:: Present a controlled and professional demeanor with clients, and be willing to meet with clients, both in person and over the phone, to ensure the highest levels of customer service.

PREFERRED:

:: Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is highly preferred and will almost certainly result in candidate being interviewed.
