Responsibilities:

• Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the general ledger structure and financial reporting
• Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information by structured and routine closing of the books
• Assumes responsibility for effectively researching, tracking, and resolving accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
• Generate financial statements and perform month-end variance and trend analysis
• Review for completeness, accuracy, and compliance
• Assist with the coordination and preparation of the annual budget process

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required
• CPA or Master is a plus
• 5+ years of professional accounting experience and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Previous experience working with a non-profit organization is preferred
