POSITION PURPOSE

Responsible for providing a variety of paying and receiving functions, including processing deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashiers' checks, money orders, and cash advances. This position will also involve performing a broad variety of member services functions such as opening and closing accounts, renewing certificates, and assisting members with bookkeeping and checking account problems. Responsible for closing loans via DocuSign. Answers members' questions regarding Credit Union services provided and performs a variety of account maintenance duties. Actively cross-sells Credit Union services. Performs specific assigned side-jobs including various clerical and receptionist functions and assists other branch personnel when required. Serves members promptly and professionally.

NOTE:
The Floating MSR is responsible for traveling to many or potentially all Kemba Credit Union branches.
Floating MSRs will receive an additional $1.50/hr. floating differential and mileage reimbursement.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & BASIC DUTIES

  • Processes cash advances, cashiers' checks, money orders, bank-to-bank wires, and Western Union wires.
  • Disburses cash or check share withdrawals.
  • Verifies transactions by monitoring deposit amounts and examining documents for endorsement and negotiability.
  • Opens and closes different account types whether a Personal, Business, Representative Payee, Memorial, or Trust account.
  • Responsible for understanding IRAs and HSAs and helping members open and service existing IRAs or HSAs.
  • Receives and directs members' telephone calls; Responds to inquiries and questions if possible or directs calls as necessary; Records and relays messages.
  • Keeps informed of Credit Union services and policies, including types of available accounts, interest and dividend rates, payroll deduction options, and other related services.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Certification:

High School Graduate or equivalent.

Required Knowledge:

Knowledge of Teller policies and procedures.

Basic understanding of Credit Union operations.

Experience Required:

One to twelve months of similar or related experience.
Credit Union or financial institution experience desired.

Skills/Abilities:

Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Professional appearance, dress, and attitude.
Good math skills.

Good typing skills.

Ability to operate related computer application and business equipment including adding machines, typewriters, copy machines, coin and money counting machines, and telephones.
