Coat Of Colour, a leading provider of high-quality Alterations & Custom Clothing is seeking an experienced Industrial Seamstress to join our team in Brandon, Florida.
**Responsibilities:*
- Utilize industrial sewing machines and equipment to stitch, sew, and assemble textile materials according to specifications and design requirements.
- Perform various sewing techniques, including straight stitching, serging, hemming, and topstitching, to achieve seamless and durable seams.
- Interpret patterns to accurately cut and sew fabric components to precise measurements as specified.
- Collaborate with designer to troubleshoot any sewing-related issues and implement effective solutions to ensure product quality and efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including regular maintenance and lubrication of sewing machines and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Adhere to strict quality control standards and inspect finished products for defects, inconsistencies, or irregularities before finalizing and presenting work.
- Follow established safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, and damage to equipment or materials.
- Meet production deadlines and quotas while upholding the highest standards of craftsmanship and attention to detail on a consistent basis.
**Requirements:**
- Minimum 9 years of experience as an Industrial Seamstress in a manufacturing or production environment, with demonstrated proficiency in sewing techniques and machine operation.
- Proficient in using industrial sewing machines, including single needle, overlock, cover stitch, and blind hem machines.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively manage time to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and precision, with the ability to produce high-quality workmanship consistently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues related to sewing equipment and processes.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve production goals.
- Must possess own sewing equipment and tools required to perform job duties effectively.
