Role Description

This is a contract Photographer/Videographer role at Suffolk Media Group. As a Photographer/Videographer, you will be responsible for capturing high-quality photographs and videos for various projects, including events, weddings, headshots, family photos, and anything else that the contract may require. You will be traveling to the location of the sessions, so reliable transportation is a must. You will collaborate with clients and our other photographers to ensure that the visual content meets their needs. This is a hybrid role located in Newport, RI, with the flexibility for some remote work.

Hybrid dutites for this role include:

• Reaching out to potential clients on the phone
• Coordinating with clients pre and post session
• Uploading documents to our cloud storage system for editing

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Photographer/Videographer, including a strong portfolio of your work
• Reliable transportation (Driver's License requried)
• Photography or videography equiptment required (or ability to rent equipment)
• Proficiency in photography and videography techniques, equipment, and software
• Excellent understanding of composition, lighting, and storytelling
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Flexibility to adapt to client needs and project requirements
• Experience in photo and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro) is a plus, but not required.
• Knowledge of current trends and techniques in photography and videography
• Degree or certification is a plus
