Manufacturing Technician
Classification: Non-Exempt (Hourly)
Reports to: Product Line Leader
Position Summary/ Objectives
The Manufacturing Technician will be responsible for manufacturing quality medical devices and research products that are safe and effective. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of the manufacturing process and can support the strategic and operational objectives of the business. The successful candidate will possess a high degree of professionalism, maturity and confidentiality.
Essential Job Functions:
- Work directly with our products in a clean room environment
- Manufacture a variety of different product in accordance with batch records, learning all processes from start to finish.
- Prepare different chemical solutions
- Maintain and calibrate instruments and equipment in accordance with schedules.
- Maintain accurate batch records, log books and electronic records.
- Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process and quality system.
- Maintain inventory of raw materials and supplies needed in manufacturing
- Clean and maintain clean rooms.
- Monitor environmental conditions.
- Recommend, write or revise manufacturing processes

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 50 pounds.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position manages does not current supervise others.
Education, Experience and Certification:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 0-2+ years’ experience preferably in medical device, pharmaceutical or life sciences industry
- Experience in GMP, ISO, and FDA controlled environments preferred
- Experience with blending, granulation, compression and coating processes is desirable, but not required.
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Must have a steady work history
- Reason independently and work with minimal guidance.
- Must possess organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Adapts to changing priorities and schedules.
- Basic computer skills are required
