Job Title: Catering Server

Reports To: Catering Manager/Director of Event Operations

Position Overview

Woodmont Country Club is seeking a dedicated and service-oriented Banquet Server to join our exceptional team. As a Banquet Server, you will play a pivotal role in delivering outstanding member and guest experiences at club events, private functions, and large gatherings. You will be responsible for setting up, serving, and ensuring that every detail is executed flawlessly in line with our high standards of hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Event Setup & Breakdown: Assist in setting up banquet rooms according to the event plan, including table settings, linens, glassware, and other required service items.
  • Food & Beverage Service: Serve meals and beverages to guests in a prompt, courteous manner, adhering to event timelines and Woodmont’s service standards.
  • Guest Interaction: Deliver exceptional guest service by anticipating guest needs, responding to requests, and ensuring a friendly and positive experience throughout the event.
  • Attention to Detail: Monitor the quality of food and beverage presentation and report any issues to the Banquet Captain or Event Manager.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other servers, kitchen staff, and event coordinators to ensure smooth event execution.
  • Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure all work areas, equipment, and banquet rooms are kept clean and organized throughout the event and during post-event breakdown.
  • Compliance & Safety: Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations, club policies, and event protocols to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for guests and staff.
  • Additional Duties: Perform additional tasks as requested by the Director of Event Operations to support the success of events.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: Prior banquet or food service experience in a hospitality or club setting preferred.
  • Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and carry heavy trays for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment with a positive attitude and flexibility in handling last-minute changes or requests.
  • Detail-Oriented: A keen eye for detail, ensuring everything is up to Woodmont’s high standards.
