Formulation Scientist

For immediate job opportunity, we are looking for a formulation scientist for our R&D facility. The potential employee will be involved in formulation and process development activities of oral solid, liquid and other dosage forms. The scientist will be able to interact with pre-formulation, analytical R&D, and regulatory personnel. Formulation and process tasks include: dry granulation, wet granulation, tablet compression, tablet coating, fluid bed processing, and encapsulation among others.
Responsibilities:
Carryout literature search and come-up with best possible formulation strategy for assigned projects
Perform pre-formulation studies and physical-chemical characterization of materials and dosage forms in collaboration with analytical R&D.
- Design and perform formulation development activities of R&D scale batches using science-based approaches.
- Analyze and interpret results in written, verbal and in presentation formats.
- Maintain lab note books, capturing all experimental trials in a timely manner.
- Prepare project reports, weekly/bi-weekly and on need basis.
- Operate and troubleshoot a variety of R&D equipment.
- Maintain inventory of raw materials, drug substance and drug products.
- Understanding of GLP guidelines and safety practices.
Education:
Minimum BS in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering.
Salary:
Will be commensurate with knowledge and experience.
