Job Summary

  • We are seeking a self-motivated LPN Or experienced CMA who finds pleasure in helping others. The ideal candidate will be certified by an accredited school as a medical assistant and must hold a current CPR certification. He/she will triage patients (Blood Pressure, Height, Weight, BMI, etc.), Expert in completing Rx Prior-authorizations, inbound/outbound patient calls, check patients in and out, verify health insurance benefits, assist physicians with any and all clinical duties within their scope of training, record patient medical history, drawing blood, cleaning and sterilizing medical equipment, and all other medical assistant duties.

General Accountability

  • Interviews patients to obtain their medical history.
  • Records patient medical history, vital statistics, and test results in patient medical files.
  • Performs routine screening tests, such as height and weight measurements and blood pressure checks.
  • Draws blood, Educate patient on medication.
  • Purchases and maintains supplies and equipment.
  • Cleans and sterilizes medical equipment and instruments.
  • Properly disposes of contaminated supplies.
  • Assists physicians during examination by handing over instruments and materials.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
  • Make and cancel appointments by phone and in person
  • Verify health insurance benefits
  • Collect patient payments in person and by phone

Job Qualifications

  • Education: Associate Degree preferred.
  • Experience: 7 years as CMA; combined education/experience as substitute for minimum experience.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Certification as a medical assistant (CMA) required, LPN is preferred.
  • Behavioral Health (Outpatient Clinic) Experience preferred.

Job Type: Full-Time & Part-Time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
