Compliance Auditor

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPrimary Arms, LLC is seeking an experienced Compliance Auditor to support the company’s audit operations and ensure compliance with all internal and external policies, procedures, and regulations.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Plan and execute a variety of audit engagements, including operational reviews, compliance audits, and business process and control assessments.
• Identify audit exceptions, internal control weaknesses, inefficient practices, and procedures, and recommend creative and effective corrective action.
• Hold preliminary discussions of apparent deficiencies with operating personnel to verify and obtain explanations and reasons for each apparent deficiency.
• Analyze findings by applying professional auditing principles, prepare comprehensive audit reports and work papers, schedules, and summaries.
• Fully coordinate and communicate actions and audit report findings within the Sr. Compliance Manager & Senior Leadership.
• Other duties, as assigned with the Primary Arms team

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (No work visa sponsorship)
• Must be willing to work onsite full time. (No relocation assistance)
• 3+ years related work experience in the compliance or legal fields
• Must be detail oriented, patient, and be a team player
• Experience developing and implementing processes and workflows
• Ability to build effective partnerships and business relationships
• Strong analytical skills
• Must have a high degree of integrity
• Proficient in software applications including Excel, Word, PDF, NetSuite

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in legal studies, political science, finance, accounting, business, social studies, or related fields
• Knowledge of ATF regulations, ITAR and EAR compliance standards
• Firearm industry knowledge
• Work experience with government affairs and contracts
• Import & export work experience
