Job Duties:

Work with semi tractors & trailers for our industry leading customer

  • Properly diagnose and perform preventive maintenance and repairs on tractors and trailers, including but not limited to gas and diesel-powered engines, hydraulic and air brake systems, drivetrain, suspension, chassis and electrical systems.
  • Disassemble, examine parts for defects and excessive wear, recondition and replace parts.
  • Estimate and price repairs, order and inventory parts as necessary.
  • Drive tractors and trailers as needed to validate that repairs meet regulatory requirements and conform to safety standards
  • Drive diesel or gas tractor in accordance with commercial driving regulations of State Department of Transportation (DOT), US DOT, and the Interstate Commerce Commission (ICC).
  • Operate Electronic Log Device (ELD), ELD software, and maintain accurate records per local, state, and federal regulations, DOT’s and ICC’s laws as necessary.
  • Perform maintenance and driving practices and processes intended to safely maintain the fleet and comply with appropriate laws and regulations, meet the company quality and safety standards to serve the needs of our customers

Must Haves:

  • 2 years of related diesel mechanic experience OR Associate degree with an emphasis in Vehicle Maintenance, Automotive Technology, Diesel Technology, or related field of study
  • 21 years of age with CDL A
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities
  • Tier 4 engine and emissions diagnostic ability
  • Ability to use computer diagnostic equipment proficiently (ABS and engine diagnostic)
