  • Position Type: Full-time, 13-week contract (with possibility of extension)
  • Hours: 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts (evening and midnight shifts available)
  • Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, 401k, weekly pay
  • Pay: Negotiable, based on experience and facility budget

Requirements:

  • Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) License
  • Active American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification
  • Minimum of 2 years Registered Nurse (RN) experience
  • At least 1 year of Registered Nurse (RN) experience in a similar setting
  • Must meet Joint Commission onboarding standards upon offer

Job Duties:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in various clinical settings, including hospitals, clinics, or long-term care facilities
  • Assess patients' health status, develop nursing care plans, and implement interventions to promote optimal health outcomes
  • Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by healthcare providers, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established protocols
  • Monitor patients' vital signs, observe for changes in health status, and communicate findings to the healthcare team
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care, including physicians, therapists, and social workers
  • Document patient information, nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner
  • Educate patients and their families on healthcare procedures, disease management, and self-care strategies
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, facility policies, and infection control protocols to maintain a safe and therapeutic environment
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, interdisciplinary rounds, and staff education programs to promote excellence in patient care and nursing practice
