Qualified Mental Health Professional

Lighthouse Therapeutic Services is currently seeking full-time Qualified Mental Health Professionals (QMHP-A), registered with the Virginia Board of Counseling to assist in our Mental Health Skills-building Program.
The desired applicant must have a bachelors degree in the Human Services field or an equivalent discipline, and one or more years working with adults. Specific knowledge in counseling ethics, person-centered counseling techniques, crisis intervention, family counseling, and excellent written/verbal communication skills is highly desired. QMHP must have reliable transportation and is expected to report to the office on a regular basis for training and supervision.
In addition, the ideal candidate will:
- Provide case coordination with additional servicing providers as needed
- Work with clients to foster the development of new coping, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Participate in the development of individualized service plans in conjunction with school settings, social service professionals, the youth and their families.
- Implement service plans and monitor progress.
- Maintain up-to-date client records and prepare the necessary reports in a timely and accurate manner.
- Conduct and participate in case review and staffing as required
- Work as a member of a treatment team, in conjunction with other providers within the school, community, clinic settings.
- Establish a good working relationship with other public and private agencies/services, and interface collaboratively with them.
- Bachelor's Degree (Required); Master's Degree preferred
- Driver's License (Required)
- Registration as QMHP with the Virginia Board of Counseling
