Medical Practice Manager

Position Summary: Manages and oversees the day-to-day operations of the medical office, to include oversight and development of all employees. Responsible for all operations of two offices. Establishes and maintains excellent communication with all staff and physicians.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
- Direct, supervise and evaluate work activities of medical, nursing, technical, clerical, maintenance, and other personnel.
- Hires, trains and develops a team of supervisors / team leads which handles direct supervision of staff; supports supervisor/team leads in handling personnel issues including new employee training, performance management and disciplinary actions.
- Effectively evaluates and develops talent through training, coaching and mentoring. Addresses performance issues directly, from development plan through PIP, as warranted
- Ensures all personnel provide courteous, accurate and efficient service to patients, physicians and peers. Promotes service standards.
- Consistently evaluates internal processes & policies, recommends changes to improve departmental efficiency and effectiveness.
- Maintains proficiency in all aspects of computerized functions / pathways utilized by the team
- Responsible for HR functions including maintaining employee files, managing benefits enrollment and facilitating annual review process.
Competencies & Skills:
- Demonstrates knowledge of medical outpatient systems and procedures, registration systems and/or appointment scheduling functions

Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associates degree preferred
- Minimum 6 years experience in a medical office setting required, GI experience preferred
- Experience training and mentoring others strongly preferred
