Position Summary:

A Landscape Foreman at Ascent Landscape will manage a crew of 2-3 labor employees. The foreman is responsible for overseeing landscape installations and production by leading the crew of labor workers alongside the company’s operation manager. The foreman is expected to work directly on projects to ensure our installations are consistently completed on time with the highest quality of workmanship.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and supervise landscape projects from start to finish

  • Install sprinkler systems, water features, paver patios, retaining walls, boulders, grass & plants and other landscaping elements

  • Provide leadership and guidance to your team of landscapers

  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure excellent standards of quality control

  • Coordinate with clients to understand their landscaping needs and preferences

  • Manage, delegate, and direct employees in the crew to complete a project efficiently

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations at all times

  • Proactively identify potential problems and possible solutions to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction

  • Operate equipment include mini excavators, skid steers, and towing trailers

  • Clearly communicate with Ascent's Operations Manager and your crew members

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of landscape installation experience minimum
  • 1-2 years experience as a foreman
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Possess a valid Driver’s License with an ability to drive large equipment and vehicles (tractors, skid steers, etc.)
  • Experience with the following landscaping services:
  • Sprinkler system installation
  • Paver patio installation
  • Retaining wall installation
  • Knowledgeable in plants
  • Final grading
  • Fence installation
  • Water feature installation
  • General landscaping
  • Excellent communication skills with coworkers
  • Excellent organization and coordination skills
  • Quick learner
  • Bilingual (Preferred - Spanish and English)
  • Must live in Cache Valley, UT (relocations assistance available)

Skills:

  • Proven experience in landscape maintenance and groundskeeping
  • Innate ability to pick up skills and knowledge quickly
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise a team effectively
  • Advanced knowledge of lawn care and tree care techniques
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members
  • Ability to project manage, leveraging organization skills to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:

  • Must maintain regular and reliable attendance at a level acceptable to the company, including the ability to work overtime, evenings, or weekends as necessary.
  • Exposed to exterior elements (i.e. pollen, chemicals, cold and heat, etc.).
  • Requires extended periods of walking, standing, kneeling, bending and lifting.
  • Typical work week requires 50+hours in green season; up to 40 hours in snow season
