Tree Care Foreman

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tree Climber and Landscaping Supervisor. As a Tree Climber, you will be responsible for safely ascending trees to perform various tasks such as pruning, trimming, and tree removal. You will work closely with a ground crew to ensure the proper care and maintenance of trees on residential and commercial properties. As a Landscaping Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of landscapers to ensure the successful completion of landscaping projects. You will work closely with clients, project managers, and crew members to deliver high-quality landscaping services. With both roles, you will be expected to drive a large landscaping truck with a trailer or similar combination. 

Tree Climber Responsibilities:

• Safely climb trees using harnesses, ropes, and other climbing equipment.
• Perform tree pruning, trimming, and shaping according to industry standards and client specifications.
• Assess tree health and identify any issues such as disease or pest infestations.
• Use chainsaws, hand saws, and other tools to remove branches or entire trees when necessary.
• Operate and maintain equipment in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure project requirements are met.

Supervisor Responsibilities:

• NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Supervise a team of landscapers and coordinate daily activities to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Plan and schedule landscaping tasks, including mowing, trimming, planting, and irrigation system installation.
• Provide guidance and training to crew members on proper landscaping techniques and safety procedures.
• Inspect work sites to ensure quality standards are met and address any issues or concerns promptly.
• Oversee equipment maintenance and ensure proper use and care of landscaping tools and machinery.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences, and provide recommendations as needed.
• Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as necessary to maintain adequate stock.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of Proven experience as a Tree Climber or.
• Proficiency in climbing techniques and safety procedures.
• Strong knowledge of tree species, growth patterns, and health indicators.
• Ability to use and maintain climbing equipment and tools.
• Excellent physical fitness and agility.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to industry regulations.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record (if applicable).
• Certification in arboriculture or related field is a plus.
