F.M Thomas Air Conditioning is immediately hiring for an HVAC Service Foreman- Pay is $65/ hr plus prevailing wage package

This job has work in LA and Orange County. We are looking for an HVAC Service Foreman.

Job includes supervision of 10 technicians, training, and response to customer service needs.

Must be proficient with applied systems diagnosis and repair.

  • Screw and reciprocating chillers 100-500 tons
  • Hot water boilers various brands 300k - 5M btu
  • VFDs Danfoss, Yasakawa, ABB
  • Humidifiers
  • Custom air handlers 30-100 tons
  • Air dryers
  • Plate to plate heat exchangers
  • hydronic pumps diagnostic, repair, and installation 5-100 HP
  • Refrigeration (minimal)

Pay scale starts at 65 /hr plus prevailing wage package; includes 401k contributions into your own account (paid into monthly). We are open to pay above scale based upon qualifications.

Employee must be able to work with different equipment and be flexible in their work schedule. Willing to be on-call in a rotating schedule for evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities:

  • Service Calls
  • Training
  • Supervision
  • Maintenance
  • Write up and submittal of recommended repairs to customer
  • Work independently to diagnosis mechanical and controls issues

Qualifications:

  • Required 10+ years of working as a lead technician
  • 5 years Supervisory skills (preferred)
  • 5 yrs experience with DDC Controls
  • Preferred 5 yrs experience working with CCN and IV-u
  • Familiarity with HVAC wiring diagrams
  • Ability to handle physical workload
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Flexible to handle calls throughout Orange and some LA County
