Job Title: Facilities Technician
Location: South Gate, CA 90280
Rate: $23.25/hr-$34.75/hr – depends on experience
Shift: 1st shift: 6:00am - 2:30pm Monday through Friday
 
3 must haves:

  • GED/HS and 2 - 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must have basic mechanical skills and able to read/write English
  • Able to pass a background and drug screen

Position Summary:

Level One – Under supervision perform moderate plumbing and general facilities tasks such as removing sinks, toilets, repairing doors, replacing light bulbs, painting, and cleaning as necessary etc.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Operate forklift.
  • Handle hazardous materials/waste.
  • Perform service and repair maintenance.
  • Interact and communicate with production on status and completion of jobs.

Required Skills:

  • Knowledgeable of basic hand tools (wrenches, etc.), basic handheld power tools (saws, drills, etc.), and bench mounted power tools (grinders, sanders)
  • Read/write English.
  • Forklift certification a plus
  • Basic Mechanical/maintenance skills

Experience & Education

  • High school/GED preferred but not required; or 2-4 years of experience; Preferred manufacturing environment experience.
