Job Opportunity: Crimson Aquatics Junior Coach

Job Type: Part-time (10+ hours/week)

Age Group: 11-14

Practice Schedule:

  • M/W: 6:30-8:30pm (Brandeis University)
  • T/TH: 6-7:30pm (Dexter Southfield)
  • SAT: 11am-12:30pm (Brandeis University)

Additional Availability: Assist other coaches and training groups when needed, weekend swim meet coverage

Work Location: In-person (2 Facilities - Brandeis University and Dexter Southfield)

Pay: Starting rate of $23/hr + (pending experience)

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • College diploma or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:

  • Swim coaching: 1 year (required)

QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must have:

  • General knowledge of competitive swimming, including the ability to teach proper technique of all four strokes, starts, turns, and streamline.
  • Self-motivation, able to work with and without direct supervision.
  • Physical ability to perform basic functions of the role with/without reasonable accommodation.
  • Excellent organizational skills to explain swim sets and intervals while simultaneously running a workout.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with athletes, parents, and colleagues both verbally and rhetorically.
  • American Red Cross CPR/First Aid/Lifeguard Certification (preferred)
