Job Title: Foundry Worker
Location: Marysville, WA
Pay-rate: $20/hour
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 5:00AM-3:30PM

Madden Industrial Craftsmen, a leading staffing firm, is currently in search of a committed Foundry Worker for one of our esteemed clients in Marysville, WA. Our client is a distinguished custom manufacturing company in the Pacific Northwest, specializing in aluminum casting and precision CNC machining.

The Foundry Worker will be responsible for performing various tasks involved in the casting process, including preparing molds, melting and pouring metal, and finishing castings. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mold Preparation: Assemble and prepare molds for casting by following specified procedures and ensuring accuracy.
  • Metal Melting: Operate furnaces to melt metal to required temperatures and specifications, following safety protocols.
  • Casting: Pour molten metal into molds, ensuring proper handling and safety measures to prevent accidents.
  • Finishing: Remove castings from molds and perform finishing operations such as grinding, cleaning, and inspecting for defects.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of foundry equipment to ensure efficient and safe operation.
  • Quality Control: Inspect finished castings for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production activities and report any issues or discrepancies to the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a foundry or manufacturing environment is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working in high-temperature environments.
  • Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to ensure molds and castings are prepared and finished accurately.
  • Mechanical Skills: Basic understanding of machinery and tools used in the foundry process.
  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Safety Awareness: Strong commitment to following safety protocols and maintaining a safe work environment.

Working Conditions:

  • Environment: Work is performed in a foundry setting, which includes exposure to high temperatures, noise, and dust.
  • Physical Demands: Requires standing, walking, lifting, and bending for extended periods.
  • Shift Work: May require working in shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
