Located near the Los Feliz, Silver Lake, and Echo Park neighborhoods of Los Angeles, California, we are currently seeking entry-level to experienced behavior therapists to join our dynamic team.

Smile Pediatric Therapy & Diagnostics (Smile) is a play-based, pediatric assessment and treatment center that positively makes a difference every day.

The Behavior Interventionist will work closely with our Behavioral Therapy Leadership to provide direct behavior therapy services to individuals with autism and work as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Provide direct therapy to individuals at risk or with a diagnosis of autism using a variety of techniques
  • Take data on goal progress for clients
  • Work in collaboration with other behavioral staff members in order to provide treatment

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate degree (Bachelor’s degree preferred) in early childhood development or a related degree including but not limited to behavior intervention, special education, child development, psychology, etc.
  • Have access to daily use of a vehicle with at least minimum liability insurance (position involves driving to and from client's home/school/etc.)
  • Able to work within some of the following catchment areas: Silverlake, Echo Park, Los Feliz, Korea Town, Downtown, Mid-Wilshire, Glendale, Burbank, & Pasadena, West Los Angeles, and more

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • One to three years of experience in providing treatment to children with or at risk for ASD with knowledge of Applied Behavioral Analysis and/or DIR/Floor-Time Treatment Approaches, and/or the ESDM
  • At least 6 months of experience working with the pediatric population (12 months to 14 years of age)
  • Bilingual speaking is a plus
