Job DescriptionJob DescriptionRussell Tobin has partnered with a premier specialty manufacturer in the Jamestown, NY area to add a QMS Technician to their growing team This role plays a crucial part in ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D standards, maintaining the integrity of the Quality Management System (QMS), and driving continuous improvement initiatives.Responsibilities:
- Maintain and revise QMS procedures and work instructions to comply with ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D standards.
- Facilitate review and disposition of updates to QMS procedures and work instructions.
- Train process owners on proper document content and level of detail to ensure consistency across the QMS.
- Coordinate and facilitate internally issued corrective actions, working closely with assignees.
- Assist manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams in determining effective corrective actions.
- Verify completed corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence of original problems and root causes.
- Track and report monthly metrics for internal and external corrective actions to the management team.
- Conduct internal audits to identify quality system improvements and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Support Quality staff during QMS audits by customers and external auditors.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in a manufacturing company with ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D accreditation.
- Proficiency in Unipoint or similar Quality software for document control and corrective action management.
- Familiarity with root cause analysis techniques such as 5-Why, 8D Problem Solving, or Fishbone Diagram.
- Experience with QMS audits conducted by customers and external auditors.
