Job DescriptionJob Description

We are seeking an experienced Civil Construction Foreman to join a very reputable Civil contractor in the Northern California area. Experience in paving is required. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Oversight: Supervise daily operations on highway, paving, and bridge construction sites, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Team Management: Lead and motivate a team of construction workers and subcontractors, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Quality Control: Monitor work progress and quality, performing regular inspections to ensure adherence to design specifications, standards, and regulations.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and best practices on-site to minimize accidents and ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to coordinate activities, resolve issues, and address any challenges that arise.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate records of project progress, labor, and materials. Prepare and submit regular reports to senior management.
  • Problem Solving: Address and resolve any construction-related issues, delays, or conflicts efficiently and effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Construction Foreman with a strong background in highway, paving, and bridge projects.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, Project Management) preferred.
  • Skills: Proven leadership and team management skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and strong communication skills.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with construction methods, materials, and equipment specific to highway, paving, and bridge construction.
  • Licenses: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
