Quality Assurance Manager

JOB SUMMARY
The Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for managing all areas of Quality Assurance to include the QMS, audits, inspections, data gathering and analysis, reporting, training and communication in accordance with established policies and procedures and contractual requirements. The Quality Assurance Manager will lead a team of Quality Assurance Technicians and will be responsible for continuous improvement and training. The Quality Assurance Manager will report directly to the General Manager.
JOB DESCRIPTION
• Manage a team of up 4-6 Quality Inspectors and Technicians- growing.
• Acts as delegated Quality Manager for ISO/ Quality Management System.
• Manage Receiving & Inspection, In-Process Inspection, and Quality Assurance staff.
• Manage quality staff and provide support for the engineering and manufacturing operations.
• Demonstrates strong organizational skills.
• Reading and interpreting technical blueprints.
• Provides quality metrics necessary to determine baseline levels and progress toward continuous improvement.
• Maintain a metrology system traceable to established standards and capable of calibration and repair of measurement equipment.
• Exhibits broad knowledge of company's mission and production goals.
• Demonstrates ability to think creatively.
• Possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Communicates clearly and effectively.
• Works well with a team.
• Manage quality staff and provide support for the engineering and manufacturing operations.
• Work in a multi-disciplinary, team-oriented environment.
• Apply a get-it-done, and get-it-done-right mindset coupled with attention to detail.
• Apply proactive and reactive problem-solving skills.
• Communicate technical results, plans, and issues with internal and external customers, including presenting and writing reports and proposals.
• Quickly understand new technology areas and manage and adapt to rapidly changing customer needs.
• Support the pursuit of new business opportunities through proposal writing, opportunity identification, and participation in meetings.
• Ability to follow precise directions and work independently while sticking to deadlines.
• Stay current in technology advancements and embrace growth opportunities.
• Exercise good judgement, act lawfully, honorably, ethically, and consistent with our company's values.
• Ability to work after-hours when required.
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelors Degree (preferred)
• Must have 5+ years of Quality experience.
• Must have 5+ years of Management experience.
• Must have 5+ years of ISO experience.
• Must have 5+ years of QMS (Quality Management System) experience.
