About Us:

Carie Boyd is a Pharmaceutical Compounding Company that operates both a 503B FDA outsourcing registered facility and a 503A compounding pharmacy in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.  We are searching for a Controller that is available to work in office full-time, M – F, between the hours of 8am and 5 pm primarily at our Irving, Texas location.  The Controller will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and will be responsible for providing oversight for all historical bookkeeping, financial and accounting activities of the Company and day-to-day management of the Company’s accounting staff of 3-4 people.

Compensation for this position will be commensurate with experience.


Primary Responsibilities:

·      Lead the month-end close process including preparing and processing required journal entries, financial analysis, and financial statement preparation
 

·      Supervise accounts receivable and accounts payable department and serve as back-up to other accounting professionals and be able to streamline processes.

 

·      Assist in development and monitoring of benchmarks that will be used to measure the company’s performance
 

·      Support the CFO and executive management in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts

 

·      Assist in year-end audit and tax processes with external auditors, including

worksheet and financial preparation, providing supporting information, and

addressing audit requests and questions as necessary.

 

·      Ensure company is compliant with local, state, and federal tax codes and statutes including interfacing with tax counsel and ensuring filing submissions
 

·      Oversee and manage QuickBooks and various other software that feeds into QuickBooks, with support of IT staff and Application Specialist

 

 

Qualifications:
 

·      Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

 

·      Strong understanding and command of GAAP
 

·      5+ years’ recent and relevant accounting experience in a manufacturing environment or as a CPA working with manufacturing companies
 

·      Experience with QuickBooks

 

·      Inventory system implementation experience is a plus
 

·      Strong computer skills including Google Docs, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
 

·      Ability to work independently, prioritize and manage tasks to meet deadlines and expectations with minimal supervision
 

·      Confident, professional demeanor and ability to maintain composure in a busy environment
 

·      Demonstrated effectiveness in written and verbal communication skills.
 

·      CMA/CPA strongly preferred
