Nielson Construction is seeking a Foundation Wall Foreman to join our team The Foundation Wall Foreman leads and oversees the daily operations of the foundation crew and trains new employees. The Foundation Wall Foreman is responsible for keeping the crew on schedule and following directions from the Field Operations Manager as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific job site/project.

Essential Job Functions

  • Leads field team members to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, with quality work that conforms to original plans and specifications.
  • Coordinates and supervises all foundation work at assigned job site.
  • Complete knowledge of all foundations, concrete, and trenching, with ability to identify and solve problems.
  • Project status reports to supervisors, site engineers, and division leads as needed.
  • Orders materials and schedules inspections as necessary throughout the process
  • Maintains positive relationships with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other employees.
  • Promotes job site safety by maintaining an organized job site that encourages safe work practices and rectifies job site hazards immediately.
  • Manage and complete customer call backs in a timely fashion.
  • Prepare, approve, and submit accurate timesheets and other required paperwork.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

  • A valid Driver License is required. A Class-A CDL preferred.
  • A pre-employment drug screen is required.
  • Management or leadership experience is preferred.
  • Ability to operate all pieces of equipment, with a strong understanding of the maintenance and basic care of heavy equipment including hydraulics and hydrostatics is required.
  • Familiarity with construction plans is required.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage diverse personalities are required.
  • A highly motivated, dependable, goal-oriented individual with excellent attention to detail and emphasis placed on quality, while searching for ways to improve.
  • Ability to work in extreme temps (hot & cold) and overtime, including nights & weekends.
  • Some heavy lifting - a minimum of 50lbs is required.
