For this fast paced job you must have a love of animals and be able to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Check in patients and request information from the owners, including vaccination records or the reason for the visit;
Clean, disinfect and prepare medical equipment between each appointment;
Ensure exam and operating rooms are stocked and sterilized;
Ensure all cages and kennels are clean;
Assist in holding and restraining animals during exams and surgical procedures;
Feed, bathe and exercise animals during their visit;
Administer medication;
Assist in collecting samples such and blood and urine for testing;
Change animal bandages, bedding and kennel materials.
