We are seeking an individual who would fit our compassionate environment caring for retired religious Sisters. At School Sisters of St. Francis, you can develop meaningful relationships with the Sisters and provide quality nursing care due to our excellent ratio of staff to Sister.
The Charge Nurse position is scheduled for 80 hours per pay period. Typical hours are 2:30pm-11:00pm. Rotating Weekends and Holidays required.
3+ years of experience as an RN required.
School Sisters of St. Francis offers competitive wages and benefits Pay starting at $39.15 based on experience.
SUMMARY: The charge nurse will overlook a team of Registered Nurses (RN’s), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN’s), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA’s), and Personal Care Workers (PCW’s) in collaboration with the SSSF Director of Nursing, ensuring that staff adhere to School Sisters of St. Francis (SSSF) policy and procedures and supports a culture of safety and high-quality resident care. The charge nurse regularly collaborates with the Director of Nursing on all expectations of this role as needed.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Registered Nurse:
Bachelor’s Degree or Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program required.
A minimum of three years of proven experience in a nursing leadership role is a plus.
Two (2) years of experience in health care facility preferred; experience working in a Long-Term Care environment preferred.
CPR Certification required.
Excellent ability to lead and develop personnel.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Current and valid unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Wisconsin.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitors the care provided by direct care providers, Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and Personal Care Worker’s. Assists with performance reviews for RNs, LPN, s Certified Nursing Assistants, and Personal Care Worker’s.
