Job DescriptionJob Description

SVCHS is looking for a Registered Dietician to oversee our ADCES accredited DSME/T program. Responsibilities include providing individualized diabetes self-management education/training to individuals and groups according to the Scope of Practice, Standards of Practice, and Standards of Professional performance for Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialists (CDCES). Additionally this position provides oversight for the planning, implementation and evaluation of the DSME/T program and ensuring the systematic and coordinated delivery of diabetes educational services.

Qualifications:

-Education and/or experience in program management

– Education in, and/or experience with, chronic diseases and disease self-management

– Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) or in the process/willing to obtain this certification

- Knowledge of CDC Diabetes Prevention Recognition

- Supervisory abilities

- Proficient in various computer applications, including spreadsheets

- Sufficient experience to carry out the duties of this position

- Must be qualified in Basic Life Support techniques and CPR

- Ability to relate with warmth and effectiveness to the patients and to the providers of SVCHS.
