SCHEDULE: 1st shift, Monday through Thursday.

KEY SKILLS:

  • Skilled in troubleshooting and repairing Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) machine tools and support equipment. {Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi, etc. controls.)
  • Skilled in repairing CNC servo drives, amplifiers and circuit boards.
  • Skilled in interpreting and writing ladder logic.
  • Skilled in designing and building circuit boards.
  • Skilled in programming Programable Logic Controllers (PLC’s)
  • Trained in Arc Flash, Lockout/tagout.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
  • Locates the source of the problem by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; and using diagnostic tools.
  • Dismantles equipment or machinery using hand tools or power tools to examine components for defects or remove defective components (s).
  • Clean and measure components to verify dimensional conformance using test instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators.
  • Studies blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to determine specifications and construction of equipment or circuitry in order to diagnose equipment malfunction and or verify proper operation.
  • Operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, drill presses, saws, and hand scrapers to repair or manufacture replacement parts for equipment or machinery.
  • Install equipment and machinery using forklifts, hoists, cranes, and dollies.
  • Level and anchor machinery and equipment.
  • Diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machinery or equipment.
  • Diagnose and replace faulty electrical components such as motors, relays, circuit boards, switches, and wiring.
  • Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; and monitoring compliance.
  • Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Utilize and abide by all applicable Quality Standards and OSHA requirements and safety procedures.
  • Comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions.
  • Perform all required checks and complete documentation.
  • Perform general housekeeping functions.
  • Perform all other work assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to lift at least 40 pounds.
  • Ability to read and understand Blueprints and Specifications.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical computations (fractions, percentages, ratios, & proportions).
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Excellent eyesight (with glasses).

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Preferably 10 years related experience or training or a combination of both.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Prefer Apprenticeship or journeypersons certificate or equivalent.
