  1. Fabric Cutting and Preparation:

    • Measure and cut fabric according to patterns or specifications.
    • Prepare fabric pieces for sewing by marking and pinning.
  2. Sewing and Garment Construction:

    • Operate sewing machines and other tools to assemble garments.
    • Follow patterns or design instructions to create clothing items.
    • Ensure accuracy in stitching, seams, and garment structure.
  3. Alterations and Repairs:

    • Perform alterations on clothing items to fit specific measurements or customer preferences.
    • Repair damaged garments by fixing seams, zippers, or other issues.
  4. Quality Control:

    • Inspect finished garments for quality and accuracy.
    • Identify and correct any sewing or construction errors.
  5. Collaboration:

    • Work closely with designers, pattern makers, or clients to understand project requirements.
    • Communicate effectively to ensure customer satisfaction.
  6. Knowledge of Fabrics and Materials:

    • Understand different types of fabrics and materials and their suitability for various projects.
  7. Attention to Detail:

    • Pay close attention to details, ensuring precision in measurements and stitching.
  8. Time Management:

    • Complete sewing projects within specified timeframes, especially in a production environment.
  9. Maintenance of Equipment:

    • Keep sewing machines and tools in good working condition through regular maintenance.
  10. Customer Service:

    • Provide excellent customer service, addressing client needs and preferences.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in sewing techniques and garment construction.
  • Knowledge of different fabrics and their properties.
  • Attention to detail and precision in work.
  • Creativity and the ability to interpret design instructions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with sewing machines and other relevant tools.

Education and Training:
