Senior Quantitative Analyst

OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantitative Analyst to join an elite trading strategies team at a leading multinational investment management firm, headquartered in New York City. This role is pivotal in driving the development of cutting-edge quantitative models and strategies in the high-frequency trading space.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Academic & Professional Excellence:

    • A Ph.D. or Master's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field from a top-tier university.
    • A proven track record of developing and deploying successful quantitative models, particularly in the areas of transaction cost analysis (TCA), market impact modeling, and high-frequency trading (HFT).
  • Quantitative & Technical Expertise:

    • Extensive experience in quantitative modeling, including statistical analysis, stochastic processes, time series analysis, and optimization techniques.
    • Proficiency in advanced coding languages and tools essential for quantitative research and high-frequency trading:
      • Python, C++, and R: For developing and optimizing trading algorithms, conducting data analysis, and implementing statistical models.
      • SQL: For efficient data retrieval and manipulation from large datasets.
      • MATLAB: For complex mathematical modeling and simulations.
      • KDB+/Q: Strong knowledge in handling time-series data and high-frequency trading systems.
      • Linux/Unix: Command-line proficiency for deploying and maintaining trading systems.
  • Data-Driven Approach:

    • Expertise in working with large, noisy datasets to extract meaningful insights and generate robust predictive signals.
    • Experience with machine learning techniques and their application to quantitative trading strategies is highly desirable.
    • Deep understanding of market microstructure and the ability to incorporate this knowledge into trading strategies.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a creative approach to tackling complex quantitative challenges.
    • Ability to translate theoretical models into practical trading solutions that drive performance and efficiency.
