Warehouse Associate – Material Handler Job Description
· Responsible for daily transfers from warehouse to shipping department.
· Move freight & stock to and from loading docks, delivery vehicles, storage area, and production areas, either manually or using equipment such as trucks, tractors, or forklifts.
· Inventory Control (Warehouse 3 and 5) of the following:
Hardware * Leather * Supplies * Resale Items
· Communicate with factory employees to keep hardware and materials in constant stock.
· Receive, check-in and stock freight.
· Empty scrap leather and box bins.
· Maintain accurate overflow labels on all bins containing overflow product.
· Monitor inventory of Resale items and update f:drive as needed.
· Monitor hardware levels and update f:drive as needed.
· Follow written or oral instructions regarding daily tasks and job duties.
· Stage products based on customer orders; assist in filling customer orders.
· Sort cargo in specific locations using cargo boards or pallets.
· Document the numbers of units handled or moved each day using production sheets.
· Operate machinery such as forklifts to handle materials and stock.
· Maintain clean neat and organized warehouses and work areas.
· Perform daily inspections of all machinery before using.
· Check emails daily and respond as needed.
This position is one in which the applicant will be working independently, must be self-motivated and work well without constant direction.
