SCADA Specialist I or II

SCADA Specialist I ($25.78 - $37.39 per hour):

SUMMARY: Under limited supervision, performs maintenance of the Authority’s Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) related systems.

Duties include but are not limited to:

1. Identifies and completes resolution of failures; performs preventative maintenance; and knowledgeable in troubleshooting and repair activities on SCADA equipment.
   1. SCADA equipment can include but is not limited to:
      1. Programmable Logic Controllers
      2. Remote terminal units
      3. Power Supplies
      4. Relays
      5. Breakers
      6. Fiber Optic and Radio Communications
      7. Various field devices with I/O
2. Works in and around water treatment plants, water booster pump stations, production wells, water storage tanks, wastewater treatment plants, wastewater pump stations and effluent disposal sites.
3. Performs other duties as required within the scope of responsibility.
   
   MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma, 2 years experience of SCADA experience or equivalent experience in related fields.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.

SCADA SPECIALIST II ($29.06 - $43.59 per hour):

SUMMARY: Under minimal supervision, performs maintenance of the Authority’s Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) related systems.

Duties include but are not limited to:

1. Identifies and completes resolution of failures; performs preventative maintenance; and knowledgeable in troubleshooting and repair activities on SCADA equipment.
   1. SCADA equipment can include but is not limited to:
      1. Programmable Logic Controllers
      2. Remote terminal units
      3. Power Supplies
      4. Relays
      5. Breakers
      6. Fiber Optic and Radio Communications
      7. Various field devices with I/O
2. Works in and around water treatment plants, water booster pump stations, production wells, water storage tanks, wastewater treatment plants, wastewater pump stations and effluent disposal sites.
3. Trains and develops Authority staff in proper application and use of SCADA equipment.
4. Coordinates jobs with vendors and contractors to minimize the impact to operations/maintenance staff.
5. Performs other duties as required within the scope of responsibility.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school Diploma, 5 years experience with SCADA equipment or equivalent experience in related fields. Associates Degree in Electronics or related field preferred.
