Position: Restaurant Server            Salary: Hourly +Tips           Job Schedule: Full-Time/Part-Time (Days/Nights/Weekends)
 

Work Responsibilities

·      Arrange table settings, clean and prepare dining area 

·      Assist other employees as needed, be a team player 

·      Cooperate and communicate with all serving and kitchen staff 

·      Pre-bus tables: remove dirty plates, glasses, etc., from table once guest has finished 

·      Maintain line of sight of new customers walking through the doors to Greet and Seat providing menus. Periodically circulating through your work section during shift to ensure all stages of service are performed with a sense of urgency and without rushing the tables making them feel welcomed

·      Server will need to have knowledge of all menu items, inform guests of the weekly specials and be responsible for suggestively upselling food & beverage items in a friendly and helpful manner to all guests

·      Follow and adhere to all safety, health, and sanitation standards, relevant health department rules/regulations and all customer service guidelines 

·      Follow opening, running, & closing procedures, checking out w/manager on duty to check side work to be released from your shift

·      Adhere to all Employee Handbook policies and procedures

·      Request proper identification for anyone appearing under 30 years of age

·      Recognize when guests are becoming too intoxicated and refuse further service of alcohol in a courteous and safety-minded manner, bringing it to the attention of a manager

·      Cash handling; bank procedures (cash pull/check out) and payment processing (on point of sales terminal) for both cash and/or credit transactions. 

·      Provide exceptional guest service by anticipating guest needs, answering guest questions taking guest orders, ensuring items are correct, delivering items timely and appropriately resolving any guest complaints. Ability to build rapport with guests

Required Skills:

·      Good physical condition 

·      Experience recognizing valid ID's

·      Keep a clean, well-groomed appearance

·      Attention to detail and good time-management skills 

·      Positive attitude is a MUST. You must work well with others

·      Capable to work in a high-volume and sometimes stressful environment

·      Punctual attendance with a flexible schedule including nights and weekends

·      Ensure responsible alcohol service per local ordinance and alcohol policies

·      Position requires extended periods of prolonged standing & working on your feet

·      Ability to handle multiple tables at one time efficiently with an upbeat, friendly attitude while anticipating guest needs

Preferred:

·      High School diploma or equivalent

·      Experience in a high volume, fast paced work environment, previous experience in customer service or food service fields

·      Beer, Wine & Liquor knowledge and current with latest drink trends

·      2 years of experience as a Restaurant Server or more

·      Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training Certification or Equivalent (paid training will be provided)
